The Groov-e Artemis 2 in 1 wireless charger and LED Lamp – £40 available from Argos 

With more of us having to spend more and more time at home due to the current covid-19 pandemic. You may have noticed your spending more time on your mobile phone and as a result, you may need a wireless charger.

There are many mobile accessory brands that have offerings on the market. In this review, we focus on groov-e who have produced Artemis which is not just a wireless charging station but also offers a LED Touch Lamp. This could be perfect for having in the living room or bedroom. 

The Artemis costs £34.99 from Amazon and it available in two colours – Black or White.

DESIGN

The design of the Artemis is mainly made of a plastic base that has a wooden top with a white rubber circle with the groov-e logo printed in the centre. 

You also have a small LED built into the base that when your phone on charge it will go red to indicate when the phone is charging. The charge station also has a U shaped frame that goes up and over the base. Inside the U Shaped frame is a LED light.

At the back of the charger, the base has a DC mains 12V adapter port and on the base of the charger, you have 4 rubber feet to keep this charger in place.  

Overall the design of the Artemis is very stylish and will look good in any room. Set up is very easy all you need to do is place the charging station in the room of your choice and plug in the adapter and you’re ready to go. 

HOW TO USE 

To use the charging station make sure its plugged in once its powered you will see a green LED light flash once to indicate its ready to use.  Then place your device on the centre of the charging pad and it will charge at a rate of 5W. It’s not the fastest wireless charging device on the market but its designed so you get a steady charge while you’re chilling out on the sofa watching a film.  

The Artemis is a 2 in 1 and not only does it charge your Qi-compatible device but it also comes with a LED Lamp which makes it perfect for the living room or bedroom table.  The LED light is built into the U shaped frame and the frame is touch-sensitive. The LED lamp offers 3 levels of low, medium and high. 

All you need to do a gentle tap and that will turn the light on then a second or third tap increases the brightness of the LED lamp.  The LED offers up to 220 lumens and offers up to 15,000 hours. What I liked about this product is you can use the LED lamp even without using the charger part of the device meaning its useful if you just want to curl up and read a good book the Artemis offers a bright light to help you read. 

VERDICT

If you’re looking for an affordable and stylus 2 in 1 then the groov-e Artemis looks great and provides a wireless charger and LED lamp that can be turned on with a simple tap. 

The charger is not ideal for someone looking for fast charging but if you want a charger you can place your phone on to charge while you’re chilling out watching TV or charge it while you’re sleeping the Artemis is a great option that will add style in your house.
